Working as a performer in a wide range of styles and spaces has always been a priority of mine.

I’ve performed in classic and contemporary plays at regional theaters like the Williamstown Theater Festival, the Chester Theater Company, and the Millbrook Playhouse, and in NYC with LAByrinth, INTAR, the Wild Project, and Center Stage.

I’ve performed in more boundary-pushing and formally experimental work at places like St. Ann’s Warehouse, H.E.R.E Arts Center, P.S. 122, FIAF Crossing the Line Festival, NYC Fringe, and in site-specific work with Immediate Medium. I have collaborated twice with the artist David Levine, first as an actor in his Obie-winning durational work Habit, and more recently as a solo performer in his hour-long work Some of the People All of the Time, which was installed for 2 months at the Brooklyn Museum, and was listed as a New York Times "Best of 2018”.

I enjoy the opportunity to help develop new work through readings and workshops. I’ve participated in the growth of new plays at such places as NYTW, Playwrights Horizons, Second Stage, Lincoln Center, Rattlestick, the Women’s Project, INTAR, New Dramatists, the Lark, Two River Theater, the O’Neill Playwrights Conference, and more.

My television work includes the pilot of "Believe," created and directed by Alfonso Cuarón (NBC), "Damages" (FX), and "Knights of Prosperity" (ABC), as well as commercials for television and radio.

I received my M.F.A. from NYU’s Graduate Acting program, under Ron Van Lieu and Zelda Fichandler. And I am fortunate to continue my training today as a member of The Actors Center professional company.

[playwright Arlene] Hutton’s writing is particularly well-served by the tough and tender Baldi.

The Syringa Tree

The charismatic spirit of the young Elizabeth is captured perfectly by Eliza Baldi, who, over the next 90 minutes, effortlessly becomes a mother, a nanny, a minister, a grandfather, and 19 other characters… a powerful performance.

Habit, a durational work

…The result is convincingly brilliant. We look at the construct of the characters, the play, the set, the audience as part of the play, and the actors themselves…the real emotional core, from their catastrophic end to their bursts of laughter in the beginning. When I came back in the seventh hour of the play’s final night, the cast was frying under the stage lights and they were doing a tremendous job of fighting the strain. When Eliza Baldi, as Viv, improvised a silent sob after changing from fur coat to spaghetti strap dress, it was painful to watch. Character and performer became one.
