I believe that theater is a powerful tool for creating measures of self-actualization, community, and even social reform. I am proud to have spent my time and artistry serving different outreach organizations who use theater as a tool for transformation.

I am in my 11th year as a volunteer for the 52nd Street Project in Hell’s Kitchen and my husband and I were the recipients of their 2019 gala award for service. I have I’ve directed, taught, and performed in shows, and I spent 7 years as a weekly mentor for one girl in the Smart Partner Program. You can listen to a podcast interview with me and Kaitlin, my Smart Partner, where we reflect on our years together, and think about what’s in store for her as she graduates high school and begins life after the Project:

I recently joined the Board of Directors for Drama Club NYC, a nonprofit providing theater curriculum and positive adult mentorship to New York City’s incarcerated and court-involved youth.

Over the years, I have collaborated with such groups as the Greylock Theater Project in Massachusetts, NYC’s Rebel Verses Youth Arts Festival, the Pennsylvania Clinton County Women’s Center, and Women for Refugee Women in the U.K., among others.
